Born in the early 1980s, we grew up without smartphones, social media, or even the internet. What might seem unimaginable to younger generations was simply our everyday reality—and we loved it. The streets and forests were our playgrounds, fueling our imaginations with endless adventures. And when we couldn’t be outside? We had LEGO® - small stackable building blocks.

LEGO® was more than a toy—it was our tool to rebuild the world at a smaller scale, right in our bedrooms. We designed spaceships, dream homes, castles, and wild inventions, learning how things worked while letting creativity lead the way.

That passion never left us. Even as we grew up, started families, and became parents ourselves, the love for building remained. But something had changed. The LEGO® sets we once adored felt different—more like collectibles than creative toys. The spark of open-ended building seemed to be missing.

So we looked for alternatives—and we found them. With the end of the LEGO® patent on classic stackable bricks, new manufacturers began offering sets that reignited our passion. Our first non-LEGO® set was a blue race car from Xingbao—over 1,700 pieces of pure fun, technical features, and excellent quality for under $100. It reminded us of what we loved most: building for the joy of it.

After years of testing brands like Cobi (great for military and aircraft models), BlueBrixx (massive, detailed builds), and many others, we realized it was time to share our journey. That’s how Brickopolis was born—a one-stop shop for fellow brick lovers, young and old, looking to rediscover their creativity.
